Earth to unknown planet: ‘Earth here, Earth here. Malfunction, malfunction…’ This was before we humans started to properly notice the enormous malfunction of climate change we caused.

Now with corona the last entitled frequent flyer can see something is wrong!

There we are then, all of us on this tiny planet. Rumours abound………….

Big poles for telephones are being killed by our fellow human beings! As long as our phones are not killed as well, I’d say : why not? Do go on, keep trying. Just like Trump keeps on trying.

By the way:  yes, bleach will kill the virus. 

It will also help fighting overpopulation……..

Scientists are trying everything. We, the people, should be trying everything too. How about not only the masts, but also head quarters of the firms that put them up? Why not burn the seats of big banks that made those dangerous poles possible with their dirty money????

Is this plague different from plagues in more ‘primitive’ times? The plague itself certainly is not.  Our reactions? Apart from our hubris, and we do indeed know more now, that tells us our science will save us, not so much. The weird theories, cures, mock scientists and rumours abound, just like they did in former days.  People used to turn to God. It did help, no plague lasted forever yet….. Their God is our science(?!).

I’d like to know, now that we are into this for 4 or 5 weeks in Europe; is this it? Am I right in sending big bags of rice to my children that they subsequently refuse? Would they accept the rice if we were in a war? Are we in something that finishes up in anarchy? Are all those Americans who buy guns ever so much wiser than I with my rice?

Has ever something totally lethal for people started with people like my friends, cutting up their Christmas pyjamas to make face masks? Has any other near wipe-out of humans started with people wearing little reindeer in front of their face? That is thoroughly  likely; not many lived to tell the tale after all….

Today we read corona attaches itself to polluted particles and so still travels long distances; It does not even need amoral people on amoral airplanes to do that. We’re not even that vital for it to travel…. The air we polluted, our dirt, serves the virus just as well as our planes did.

So it might be the rightful vengeance of nature, of the variety and beauty and fellow living beings here on this planet. She tells us in the name of beauty and justice to stop behaving like a plague of rats and search for a life that is how it should be, as part of creation, not its master and destroyer……

That would mean: no cars (electric cars are only marginally better than other cars), certainly no planes, no sky scrapers, no plastics, no motorways, no endless cities that take the space from every non human creature.

Can this happen? Maybe, if this virus turns out to continue to be smarter than we are, that might be the only way for any humans to survive. If we take our rightful place among the rest of nature there’d also have to be very very very fewer people than presently…
